A smarter way to heat your home
Air Source Heat Pumps provide a lower-carbon way to heat your property by taking heat from the outside air and using it to provide heating and, with the right system, hot water for your home.
We start with a proper survey and system assessment, so the advice you receive is based on your property rather than guesswork. This is particularly important when replacing an older heating system or considering a different way to heat your home.
We handle the installation carefully, including positioning the outdoor unit, connecting the necessary pipework and fitting a suitable hot water cylinder where required.
Once everything is installed, we test and commission the system properly before handover. We’ll also explain how to use the controls so you can feel confident getting the best from your new heating system.
D Davies Plumbing & Heating Ltd provides Air Source Heat Pump installations across Llandeilo, Ammanford, Cross Hands and throughout Carmarthenshire, with practical advice from the first survey onwards.

Installed with the details properly thought through
A good Air Source Heat Pump installation starts long before the system is switched on. We consider the groundwork, positioning of the outdoor unit and how the new system will work with the rest of your property.
We connect the system to your heating setup in a way that suits the requirements of your home, with careful attention paid to how heat will be distributed throughout the property.
Air Source Heat Pumps generally operate differently from traditional boilers, so understanding the controls and how to use the system effectively matters too. User guidance is therefore part of our service; you won’t simply be left with a new system and expected to work everything out yourself.
Across Carmarthenshire, our team provides straightforward advice and carefully completed Air Source Heat Pump installations designed around the individual property.
Get £7,500 towards an eligible Air Source Heat Pump
If you’re considering an Air Source Heat Pump, the government’s Boiler Upgrade Scheme could make the move more affordable.
The scheme currently offers a £7,500 grant towards an eligible Air Source Heat Pump installation.
Until March 2027, you could receive an additional £1,500 towards an Air Source Heat Pump if both of the following apply:
Your property is currently heated by oil or LPG
Your property does not have a mains gas connection
That means qualifying properties could potentially receive £9,000 towards an eligible Air Source Heat Pump during this period.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme allows one grant per property, and the system being installed must meet the required standards, including applicable minimum efficiency requirements.
Hybrid systems — for example, a system combining a gas boiler with an Air Source Heat Pump — are not eligible for the grant.
You also cannot receive the grant to replace an existing low-carbon heating system.
Eligibility criteria apply, and government schemes can change. We can discuss the heating requirements of your property and help you understand whether an Air Source Heat Pump and the available grant support could be suitable for you.
Could an Air Source Heat Pump be right for your property?
Air Source Heat Pumps generally provide heat at lower flow temperatures than traditional boiler systems, which can provide steady, consistent heating when the system and property are appropriately suited.
They can provide both space heating and hot water when installed as part of a correctly designed system.
Before recommending an installation, we assess your property and heating requirements so that you have a clearer understanding of what is involved. We can also explain the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and the financial support currently available towards qualifying Air Source Heat Pump installations.
Our support doesn’t end once the system is installed. Maintenance and performance checks can help identify potential issues and keep your system working effectively throughout the seasons. If an Air Source Heat Pump isn’t the right option for your property, we can also discuss alternatives, including new boiler installations and general plumbing needs depending on your requirements.
